Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 19, 2026
This policy explains what information is processed when you use Toon Tone, why it is processed, which outside services may receive it, and what choices you have. Toon Tone is a free, browser-based color memory game operated at toontone.io. You can play without creating an account, providing a name, or submitting an email address.
1. Game Data Stored on Your Device
Your detailed color guesses, local game history, streak information, and interface preferences are stored in your browser using local storage. We do not operate a player-account database and do not receive the raw HSB values that make up your color guesses. You can remove this local game data by clearing site data in your browser. Because it is local, it may not follow you to another device or remain available after you clear browser storage.
2. Technical and Analytics Data
We use Google Analytics to understand whether pages load, which game modes are used, and where the experience needs improvement. Depending on your consent choice and Google's processing, this may include page paths without query strings, device and browser information, approximate region, referrer information without query strings, character or game mode identifiers, difficulty, and a numeric round score. We do not send raw color guesses, challenge tokens, contact-form text, email addresses, phone numbers, or names as analytics event fields.
Google Consent Mode starts with analytics and advertising storage denied. If you decline optional cookies, the site keeps those storage permissions denied. Google may receive limited, cookieless measurement signals under that denied state. If you accept, Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers for measurement. Google explains its processing in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
3. Cookies, Local Storage, and Your Choice
Essential local storage remembers your game state and cookie choice. Optional analytics and advertising technologies are controlled by the consent choice shown on the site. Choosing Decline keeps optional advertising providers from loading through the site's ad components. You can reopen Cookie Settings from the footer and change your choice. You may also delete existing cookies and local storage through your browser controls.
A browser setting that blocks all storage may prevent the site from remembering your choice, in which case the notice can appear again. Withdrawing consent does not automatically delete cookies that a provider previously stored; use your browser's site-data controls when you also want to remove them.
4. Hosting and Service Providers
Our hosting and content-delivery providers, including Vercel and Cloudflare, may process ordinary request information such as IP address, requested URL, timestamp, user agent, and security signals to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and maintain reliability. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not use a site form to store contact messages; the Contact page opens a draft in your own mail application, and any message you send is then handled by your email provider and ours.
5. Advertising Services
When advertising is enabled and you have made the required choice, the site may use Adsterra to display sponsored placements. Adsterra and its advertising partners may process IP addresses, device and browser information, ad impressions, interactions, and cookies or similar identifiers under their own policies. Advertising is labeled Sponsored and is kept separate from game controls and navigation. The site is configured to load this provider only after you accept optional cookies and only on configured ad-supported pages. See Adsterra's privacy policy for provider-level details.
We may also use Google AdSense after the site and consent configuration are approved. If enabled, Google and its partners may place or read cookies, use web beacons, or process IP addresses and other identifiers to serve, limit, personalize, and measure ads. Visitors can manage personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. For visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, personalized Google ads are not enabled through this site until a Google-certified consent management platform is configured where required.
We do not ask you to click advertisements, reward ad interaction, or place ads inside game controls. Third-party advertising may be restricted or disabled while the site is being reviewed or when the required consent signal is unavailable.
6. Personal Information and Sensitive Data
We do not intentionally pass personally identifiable information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, or full contact messages to Google or advertising providers in page URLs, analytics events, or ad requests. The site does not request precise geolocation and does not build advertising audiences from health, religion, sexual orientation, political affiliation, financial hardship, or other sensitive information. If these practices change, we will update this policy and request any consent required before the new processing begins.
7. Children's Privacy
Toon Tone is designed for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. Familiar character names are used as color-memory prompts; the service does not provide child accounts, social profiles, public comments, direct messaging, purchases, or targeted experiences for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us by email, contact us so we can review and delete it where applicable.
8. International Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or information about processing. Most game data can be removed directly by clearing this site's local storage. For provider data, you may also need to use the controls offered by Google, your browser, or the relevant advertising provider. Send privacy requests to the address below and include enough information for us to understand the request without sending sensitive documents unless we specifically need them.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when the game, analytics, advertising providers, or legal requirements change. The revised version will be posted here with a new Last updated date. Material changes to optional data use may require a new consent choice.
